Peggy Fruin is President and founder of Hampton Design Interiors, an interior design firm focused on bringing sophistication and style to the Hampton market. Peggy founded HDI in 1999 following a 20-year career in the fashion industry. An honor's graduate of New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Peggy managed merchandising and design for a number of well-known labels, and in 1990 was honored by the National Knitwear Sportswear Association for her exceptional work. In 1992, she started Whiteworks, her own label, selling to national retailers including Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, Saks, and Bloomingdales. Whiteworks was later sold to Pine Shirt, a major garment manufacturer.

HDI's list of interior design projects is extensive covering both residential and commercial clients. In addition to many Hampton area projects, HDI has worked on projects in Washington D.C., Princeton, New Jersey and New York City and in 2001, HDI oversaw all aspects of interior design for Amagansett's South Fork Country Club. Projects in Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amagansett, Water Mill and Montauk are currently underway.

Peggy has recently begun to narrow her company's focus by opening a design center on Main Street in East Hampton solely dedicated to kitchens, baths and built-ins. HDI now offers its clients a complete and seamless design and installation service covering all aspects of kitchen and bath projects. Hampton Design's mission is to bring the latest state-of-the-art products to its clients. From cabinetry to countertops, tile and appliances, Hampton Design is capable of delivering to all price points and styles.
