"Break the boundaries: Some rooms can serve many different uses if designed and organized properly. For instance, in the Idea House laundry room we're adding a potting table, a desk for wrapping gifts and a TV, because doing the laundry doesn't have to be like going to the dungeon anymore."

....serious laundry room envy is evoked in the 13-foot-by-12-foot space that includes a sink, sorting/folding table and built-in ironing cupboard. Spools of decorative ribbon hang over a crafting station while hand tools dangle next to seed packets sorted in cubbies over the potting area. The room was designed by Peggy Fruin and Susanne Kelley of Hampton Design Kitchens Baths.
